Ms. Alex D.
Alex Dombroski graduated from Hofstra University with degrees in Dance and Biology. Throughout her time at Hofstra, she performed in works by Anita Feldman, Rachel List, and Livia Vanaver. Her tap choreography was featured in a variety of shows across the Hofstra Campus, including Student Rep, Danceworks Productions, campus events, and her self-produced final showcase. Post-graduation, Dombroski’s choreography has been selected to perform in a variety of shows throughout New York City, including Dance Astoria, Uptown Rising (Bridge For Dance), and SharedSpace (Mark Morris). She has also been a member of Denise Caston & Company. She is currently on teaching staff at Reflexion Dance & Fitness (Queens, NY), and has also taught at Peridance Capezio Center (New York, NY), Long Island City Ballet (Queens, NY), and public school after-school programs (New York, NY).
Ms. Rachel D.
Rachel is a Queens based social worker and dance artist. Originally from Utica, NY, she began her dance training at Dancenter of Utica under the direction of Carrie Putrello. Rachel received her MSW from Fordham University and B.S. in Dance and Social Work from Nazareth College. Since graduating, Rachel has been teaching dance in schools and studios and her choreography has been presented in Times Square and across New York City. She is currently a co-founder and choreographer for 32nd Pack Dance Company and is an advocate for dancer mental health.
Ms. Karin R.
Karin, a native of Philadelphia, Pa., is a working choreographer and teacher residing in New York City. Graduating Cum Laud from Florida International University, Miami Florida, she earned a BA in Dance. Her infectious energy and her passion for dance were seasoned while she mentored under Broadway tap dancer, Jimmy Tate. Karin has been teaching for over 24 years and during this time, was honored to become the Director of the Dance Department at the nationally renowned Weiss School. She has also directed a youth tap company in South Florida where her students performed locally for community events/fundraisers and her choreography was recognized with numerous awards at a variety of competitions on both regional and national levels. Currently, Karin is on faculty at Peridance Center in Manhattan where she is the Director of SynKopate – AN NYC Tap Project & SynKopate II - the first Peridance youth Tap companies. In addition to her roles as director, she also choreographs and teaches both locally and nationally, while also working in the competition world as an adjudicator. Karin is ecstatic to be starting her 1st year as faculty for the Reflexions family! Her passion for her art and the technique that supports it, for rhythm and energy and the combination of it all, can be seen in each and every class she teaches as well as in her ambitious and expressive choreography!
